Wechat Film Raised $700 Million in Series C/C+ rounds, CEC Capital Served as Exclusive Financial Advisor

WeChat Film (also known as Weipiao), China's leading online ticketing platform originally spun off from Tencent, owner of the popular Wechat services, announced today that it had completed it has raised RMB4.5 billion ($700 million) in Series C and C+ financing, making it the single largest check size ever achieved in its space.  Tianshen Entertainment, an A-share listed entertainment company, along with Tencent, CMC Group, Ledou Games, and Everbright Financial Holdings, participated in this round.  Total valuation of the company has exceeded $2 billion.
CEC Capital (formerly China eCapital), having also advised the company in previous round of financing, served as the exclusive financial adviser to Wechat Film in this transaction.
